Pray for peace in Ivory Coast

Alison Diarra, our

IC map

Advocates Africa Prayer Calendar Coordinator, has forwarded this request to us from Ivory Coast:

Josué Johé, an Advocate from Ivory Coast, asks us to continue to pray for his country.  He writes that "The situation there is alarming, but we know that Jesus is Lord over the Ivory Coast."

Unfortunately, since his last message, the situation has taken a turn for the worse with forces loyal to Alhassane Ouattara currently fighting for control in the capital, Abidjan.  We have received news from friends who have been hiding for days in their homes, to avoid the fighting that rages outside.  There is a shortage of food and several areas of the city are without water and electricity.  The situation is very dire and there are reports of large scale massacres by both sides in the conflict in towns in the west of the country.  Please pray peace in the Ivory Coast.

Said Musa Released

Praise the Lord for the release of Said Musa.  Thank you so much for your prayers for Said and for those Advocates who spent countless hours in working toward this great news.

We learned that Said rejoined his family and they are now living in a European country.  Said has indicated his great desire to return to Afghanistan to continue to help his people.

Congratulations to Diana Daskolova on the birth of her daughter, Sara

Advocates International is pleased to announce the birth of Sara to our Prayer & Praise correspondent, Diana Daskolova in Sofia, Bulgaria.  Sara was born on March 28, 2011, weighing 3.1 kg.  Mom and Baby are doing well.

Thank You for Your Financial Support

AI is not a recipient of government funding and is solely dependent upon the financial contributions of those who believe in its mission, thereby enabling it to serve "clients" ranging from heads of state seeking to implement constitutional reforms to persecuted and imprisoned believers sentenced to death for their faith. We are most grateful and thank you for whatever financial support or voluntary service you can provide in support of AI's mission. Here's how you can help(more)
