January 2008

Dear Friend,

If you or your family, your church or Bible study group could impact just one continent or country long-term for Christ this year, which one would you choose?

If your law firm, business or ministry could impact one continent or country long-term for Christ this year, which one would you choose?

If you could take a short-term mission trip, which country would be your first choice?

If you could take a short-term mission trip and spend a week at a 5-star hotel and meet committed followers of Christ from up to 150 nations, would you be interested?

If you could take a short-term mission trip in reverse by bringing an advocate from a developing nation to the USA to be trained to do justice while integrating faith and practice instead of you going to his or her nation for two weeks, would you be interested?

If you could take a weeklong cruise during October 5 to 12, 2008, where would you go?

If you could take a cruise down Pennsylvania Avenue, would you be interested?

If you could spend a week this fall in Washington, DC, at a 5-star hotel located a few minutes by foot from the Capitol, Supreme Court and the museums - all for just $495 double occupancy for the week including most meals - would you be interested?

If you could participate in a historic gathering of Christian advocates and attend regional seminars hosted by leaders from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North America, would you be interested?

If you could receive Continuing Legal Education credits at a Global Convocation in Washington , with an option of attending a Supreme Court hearing, would you come?

If you could attend a Global Convocation where major international ministries and organizations will have booths, would you be interested?

If you could enable an advocate from a developing nation where the per capita income is only $1 to $2 per day to attend the Global Convocation to be trained in justice, religious freedom and reconciliation as a follower of Christ, would you be interested?

If you could combine all of the above and be blessed while also serving as a Good Samaritan by enabling deserving international advocates to attend, would you do it?

We invite you to be part of a historic event. The invitation is extended to you, your family, your church, Bible study, law firm, CLS chapter, business or ministry. The 5th Global Convocation in Washington, DC, during October 5 to 12, 2008, will be co-hosted by Advocates International, Advocates North America and the Christian Legal Society.

The theme is Redeeming Law: Christian Calling and the Legal Profession. The program promises to be superb. The speakers will be first-class! Baroness Caroline Cox of England, a dynamic witness as "A Voice for the Voiceless" and a leading member of the House of Lords, has confirmed her availability. We hope to see 1,500 delegates from 150 nations at the largest-ever gathering of Christian lawyers and law students. About 80% of the nations sending delegates are from developing nations where some lawyers may earn $250 per month. Each delegate will pay the $495 Convocation fee. Each region will be responsible for the transportation costs for their delegates which will be as much as $2,000 each from some countries in Africa and Asia .

We invite you to stay at the 5-star Hyatt Regency in Washington on Capitol Hill. We have reserved rooms at the Hyatt - normal charge is $549 per night - for those who sponsor deserving delegates from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. It's ashort-term mission in reverse. Instead of traveling to just one country overseas, you can spend a week getting to know many of the finest professionals on Planet Earth PLUS attend as many functions as you choose - or take time to sightsee at the Capitol in the fall - or even attend a Supreme Court session. It's your call!

We invite you to take a cruise down Pennsylvania Avenue and impact the world for Christ along the way. Cruises in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean or the Baltic are popular with ministries and other groups these days. For $2,500 to $7,000 or more per person, you're pampered, enjoy great food, attend seminars and visit ports of call.

But if you take a cruise with us down Pennsylvania Avenue by sponsoring one delegate with a $2,500 donation, your six nights and seven days at the Convocation will cost you only $495 double occupancy for room & meals, program & fellowship! Thus, for $2,995 you will be able to enjoy this historic event while serving as a Good Samaritan for another advocate as well. The relationships you build may last a lifetime. It could be life changing for you and the delegate, with the potential to have a long-term impact on their nation.

If you want to reserve a place at this historic event, please return the enclosed reservation form. The enclosed list of 150 nations and key leaders may spur you on to pray for the continent, country or delegate you may want to sponsor, while...
