This devotional is the 2nd edition of the second lawyer’s devotional published by Advocates International. The 1st edition was published in 2001 and edited by Samuel E. Ericsson and Lynn R. Buzzard. The first volume, What Does the Lord Require of You, was initially published by Geneva College as part of its exploration of launching a Christian law school. That edition was republished by Advocates International in 1999, with the same devotional material.

This devotional has a distinctive international flavor. Many of the contributors have been participants in the international ministry of Advocates, and they have brought their rich diversity and special perspectives and experiences from their own cultures and Christian community. This devotional bears witness to the oneness in Christ across cultures and geopolitical borders, and the ministry we have to one another. It also evidences the network of Christian lawyers that are a part of the work of Advocates.
